Fairways is a 270-residence community set on six acres of private, mature grounds at 1400 Dixie Road, minutes from Lake Ontario and fifteen from downtown Toronto.
A serene condominium community offering picturesque greenspace, lush gardens, a tennis court, shuffleboard courts, a resort-style pool with decks, two adjacent golf courses and a short walk to Lake Ontario’s Waterfront Trail.
Fairways was registered in 1979, and it was built to a standard of space and landscaping that is no longer economic to reproduce. Six acres of gardens, pathways and specimen trees sit inside a gated entrance, and the residences behind it are measured in the thousands of square feet rather than the hundreds.
Where many new buildings top out near 750 square feet, that is roughly where Fairways begins. Suites run from approximately 750 to 3,200 square feet in one, two and three bedroom layouts, many with dens, and a great number have been renovated over the years.
The result is a rare thing in the Greater Toronto Area: genuine family-sized floor plans, in a secured building, on landscaped acreage.

Lounge areas, a library and a billiards room for the months the gardens are closed.
McMaster House stands on the same six acres as the towers, a survivor of the estate landscape that preceded the building. It is used for resident functions and private gatherings, and it is the reason the approach to Fairways feels less like a condominium address and more like a driveway.
Two GO stations, two major highways and the Waterfront Trail are all inside a short radius. Lake Ontario is moments away, and downtown Toronto is a fifteen minute drive in light traffic.
The monthly maintenance fee at Fairways covers heat, hydro, central air conditioning, water, cable television, parking, building insurance and the common elements. Comparing it against a building that charges for those separately is not a like-for-like comparison, and the difference is usually larger than people expect.
